Overview

About the Project

The University of Washington’s new Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Time Study, supported by NECA, SMACNA, MCAA, and their member firms, aims to benchmark VDC modeling and management. This groundbreaking research seeks to develop robust metrics for estimating VDC engineering for MEP trades, benchmark current practices, and evaluate the efficiencies and effectiveness. With enthusiastic participation from industry leaders, this project promises to deliver significant insights into the allocation of time and resources in VDC activities. By participating, companies will not only directly contribute to advancing VDC practices but also gain early access to cutting-edge methodologies that enhance the precision and comprehensiveness of VDC service management.
